On site restaurant gets points for being convenient, but food was only ok. Only 1 pool was open and was up 5 flights of stairs. By September both pools were supposed to be functioning. Perhaps there was unavoidable problems? Idk. Regardless, the one pool was definitely not our scene at night. Everyone was drunk and I personally found the behavior overtly sexual. Not family friendly after dark. Ya'll got rooms...keep it there! Need to utilize golf cart service for room to lobby/restaurant/pool service. However the service was more sparse, and we gave up and walked few times. Everything is uphill. I enjoyed the variety of animals on the premises...cats, roosters, iguanas. Not usual U.S. hotel space but it was the vibe of the island. There was supposed to be beach access at the resort...no such luck. However Coki beach is a 5 minute drive from the resort. Beautiful beach. GREAT snorkel area. Again...family warning, marijuana sold and smoked by visitors and staff alike on this beach. Free beach access with small fee for parking. Magens Bay cost a bit more to go to but is definitely family Friendly. Avoid these beaches on cruise ship port days. We did go to the aquarium but thought it was not worth the money we spent. Perhaps if you do a special activity, ie scuba it may be worth it. SNORKEL ST JOHN...5 stars. Day excursion incl breakfast lunch, open bar and Equipment. 3 stops and leaves/returns Margaritaville GROCERYS: cheapest store is Cost U Less. Carries all from bread to beer. It has a bulk store vibe, but no membership required. MOES MARKET was recommended. Has items you may want but it is very pricey ($10 a lb of bacon and same for 1 pkg Oreos).
